Workshops
Joanne and Chris offer The Fool and The King
and Meet Your Fool Workshops (as an extension of their work with Jonathan Kay and The Nomadic Academy For Fools). Their workshops can be tailored to incorporate multiple disciplines and can be geared towards process or productions. They both have received varied training and employment in physical theatre practices, puppetry, set design, animation, illustration, costume making, installation, painting, metal work, and textile arts. Chris and Joanne have independently worked in community arts facilitation in varied settings: PRU, SEN and main stream schools, early years education, CAMH, Children's Hospitals, Arts Centres, EPU's, Colleges,, Theatre's and Festivals. They are currently working for Alder Hey Children's Hospital. As Facilitators they have received training from, John Fox and Sue Gill, Gallery 37, Geese Theatre, Friction Arts, Play.Train, TIPP, St. Thomas Centre for Early Excellence (Reggio Approach) and Hope St. Ltd. The Nomadic Academy for Fools is an ever growing circuit of performing people who work within The Structure, developed by Jonathan Kay. The Structure can be a place where inner worlds meet and become visible, where an audience can see themselves a new and feel able to join in play. It is a place that houses fools and allows them to breathe substance into unseen worlds. |
Foolsize Theatre cycle each year across Belgium, creating a network, performing and running workshops.
This year they ran workshops for Impro For Dummies (Brussels) and for a group of tour guides at Leuven Leisure. |
